Criminal Law
I argued my own motion to sever on behalf of an indigent defendant before an Athens, Georgia City Court judge in criminal court as a 2L and helped craft prosecution cases and guilty pleas for animal welfare ordinance violations in the Athens City Attorney’s office as a 3L. I also conducted jail interviews and prepared evidence for trial.
Civil Law
At Legal Assistance of Western New York in Ithaca, New York, I supported attorneys with domestic violence- and sexual violence-related legal issues, interviewing clients, interacting with government agencies, and drafting legal documents ranging from affidavits and answers to demand letters.
As a volunteer attorney with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice and Essex-Newark Legal Services, I assisted clients pro bono with issues including estate planning, debt relief, and public benefits.
Research
I led a team of research assistants for a Professor at the University of Georgia School of Law in international law research for the Transitional Justice Institute, Ulster University WPS@20 seminar series. I also worked as a research clerk for 3 years for the Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic at the School of Law, researching civil suits' therapeutic benefits for tort victims, working with attorneys to create trauma-informed courtrooms, and preparing for trial for a child sexual abuse survivor.
At the School of Law, I prepared research on local, state and federal environmental laws in Georgia and New Jersey on such topics as environmental justice concerns in the Proctor Creek area of Atlanta, Clean Water Act state program administration, and land waste application processes. I am currently working on a manuscript on land use regulations for senior housing in New York State.
International Law
As an advocacy intern at War Child Holland, I interviewed diplomats in both French and English on our Checklist to Mainstream Children and Armed Conflict Concerns in Human Rights Practice and drafted recommendations for the UNHCR's 31st, 32nd, and 33rd Universal Periodic Review.

At Humanity Forward Foundation, I consulted on universal basic income pilot programs and assisted with corporate separateness.
As a legal volunteer with the Data Dividend Project, I conducted research and compiled trackers on data privacy litigation and legislation around the United States.
Working at the American Branch of the International Law Association, I worked with a small team to coordinate events, media management and marketing, and membership outreach.
Moderating a panel on environmental law and human rights at UGA Law.
